Hubs

What is a bePOM-hub?

It is a place where students and researchers interested in optics and photonics can gather to watch the POM as a group, creating local communities.

If you are a bePOM-hub, because you can guarantee a safe environment, here are the primary responsibilities as an organiser:

  1. Book a conference room or similar room that can seat a medium size group
  2. Register to the event on behalf of the group/hub.
  3. Act as point of contact for the people interested in joining your hub
  4. Stream the event from a computer (e.g. your laptop, a computer in the room)

Some hubs are being hosted by student chapters (e.g. Optica, SPIE, IEEE, APS/EPS) and provide attendees with food and drinks. This is optional.
